“Reading furnishes the mind only with the materials of knowledge; it is thinking that makes what we read ours.” John Locke.
Hello Top Contributors, It’s time to stretch our minds and learn new techniques to be successful at work. For that, we should always continue reading and furnishing our arsenal of knowledge. Then, we should Think! Make what you read yours, like Mr. Locke said, and go on to have a successful career.
I chose the beginning phrase to this article because it also relates to the book our Top Contributor Book Club is reading: Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill.
Mr. Hill reveals the money making secret, which he learned from Dale Carnegie, that made fortunes to hundreds of wealthy men through history. Among some of the very well known names he mentions, who became millionaires with this secret, are Henry Ford, Theodore Roosevelt, and Charles Schwab.
The book is definitely a classic, and shares a great deal of wisdom on topics, such as desire, the power of thoughts, self confidence, organized planning, and the crystallization of desire into action.
Get it, think, and put what you learn into action right away.
You should be able to find it at your local bookstore, or you can buy it by clicking on the link below. Enjoy it and please come back and comment on what you learn.
